Hey folks, in my last post I promised some analysis of the “competition” in the vacation time tracking app niche, but I’ve been busy with something a bit more exciting. I’ve been in Photoshop a lot lately working on the design of my app!
If you remember several posts back I shared some of my original sketches for the vacation time tracking app (which REALLY needs a name by the way), but now I’ve got some much prettier designs for you to see! Stay tuned for more sneak peak screen shots to come!
You can click the images to see them full-size.
Thanks to Teehan+Lax for the iPhone GUI Photoshop template and also Patrick Crowley for the Ultimate iPhone Stencil. Both of these resources provide many of the standard iPhone UI controls for Photoshop, thus saving me TONS of time building these mockups.

Hmmm, I think I’ve seen that bolted on plate look somewhere else…. in another feature in another app regarding time tracking…hmmmmmm
Love the photoshop mock-ups Scott. Stellar!!!
Haha, yeah. When you get a good layer style you make the most of it I guess. Bolts and plates and metal…that’s where it’s at!
Thanks for the feedback. I have like 5 more shots I’ll be publishing soon. And more to do still.
Hey brother-in-law! Just found your bliggity blog. Looks like you’re off to a good start with your iPhone adventures. Can’t wait to see what you come up with! =)

Hey Rachel! Thanks so much for checking it out, and for being so encouraging. Having some designs mocked up is really getting me excited for the 4-day workshop in July. I can’t wait to learn more of the programming side of things so I can bring this first app to life. I add new posts every week so drop in and comment anytime!
