The iPad Release
Finally got to use an iPad, it was sweet!
Wow, the day had arrived. I finally got to the Apple store to put my hands on a real iPad. When I walked in the store there were like 36 iPads, but it looked like there was a teenager at every one of them. Then an apple staff person saw me in my distress and as he stepped aside he revealed an open spot at an iPad behind him. He assured me there was no time limit, and I could take all the time I needed getting acquainted with the iPad. I was more than happy to oblige.
After seeing the draw that this device had on people, and feeling it myself, I knew I had to stay serious about Cocoa development. It’s my opinion that Apples still getting started. I wasn’t feeling ready to develop for the iPad yet, but I was re-energized to get back into the iPhone.
Just to point something out, I do love technology and all, but let’s be real, it’s not all that important in the great scheme of things. I think it’s fun to talk about the warm fuzzies I feel when using new gadgets, but at the end of the day, the things that are most important and that I love the most are God and my family. Without Jesus Christ my life would be a worthless mess, and without my wife and family I would be, well let’s just say I can’t imagine life without any of them.
